Reba comes to us from Vicki Weis, Weis shelties in Minnesota. This sassy girl likes to vocalize her opinions yet she is loving and sweet. She can be found handing out kisses and hugs at shows. Reba is also very intelligent; it’s almost scary. She can “problem-solve” things unlike any dog I have owned before. She loves agility training!

We joke that Reba picked out her own name. Right after we got her a country award show was on TV and Reba McEntire was singing. Reba went over by the TV and started "singing" right along with her. The rest was history.

Conformation

Reba attended her first conformation show where she won her class all 3 days.  Reba also earned her Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Trick Dog titles at just 8 months of age.

Reba ventured back into the AKC conformation ring in August and went WB/BW/BOS for her first AKC point. Then she tried out UKC conformation to win Best Female all 4 shows. Her next show out she takes Best of Breed over a special to finish her UKC Championship. She finished undefeated from the female classes. She also made her agility debut earning her AKC Novice Agility Jumper title with 3 first places! I love these versatile shelties!

in 2019, Reba had some unexpected emergency surgery. As a result I had to make the heartbreaking decision to spay her. While recovering from surgery and getting back into shape to compete in performance she finished off her Expert and Performer Trick Dog Titles.

2020 presented us with challenges due to COVID so we started working at Rally and UKI Agility at home trials where she absolutely flourished! Reba has gone on to earn her Rally Novice title and become my first dog to earn Championship in UKI! Prior to COVID I had never trialed in an international style agility before.

Stayed tuned for updates!

Reba made her agility debut earning her AKC Novice Agility Jumper title with 3 first places! I love these versatile shelties!

While working on her excellent title, Reba had a string of unfortunate events happen at trials and she became environmentally sensitive to certain things. We took a pause in trialing to work through them and were getting back into the swing of things after her surgery when COVID hit in 2020.

I decided to try something different with her and ventured into the world of UKI Agility where they have more training in the ring options. We had trained more advanced skills but I had never had to use them in a trial setting. We focused mainly on the UKI at home trials they offered and Reba absolutely flourished. She LOVES agility so much and taking the pressure off from the indoor trial environments helped her to really come into her own. She finished her UKI Speedstakes Championship in 2022. Our first international agility title!

I decided to retire her from AKC agility but we are still "playing" with some UKI stuff so watch for updates.

Tricks, Rally and Other Performance Sports

Reba loves trick dog training!

She earned her Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Trick Dog titles at just 8 months of age.

While recovering from her surgery in 2019 and getting back into shape to compete in performance she finished off her Expert and Performer Trick Dog Titles.

Now that she is semi retired from agility, we are back to adding more trick dog titles to our list.

Reba has shown a love for obedience as well and we have started working on her Rally titles at home!

I introduced Reba to nose work and she absolutely loves it. More to come!
